  • Wednesday, October 18th is CRAZY SOCK day!  Help FCCLA reach their goal for Socktober by bringing a pair of new socks or $1 to donate to homeless shelters.  If you donate, you get to wear your socks all day without shoes!!  Rock your socks!!

  • The Library will be closed on Tuesday, Oct 24th for Health Screenings. Please do not send students to the Library on these days. Thank you.

  • Culver-Stockton College will be hosting a Presidential Preview Visit Day for all juniors and seniors to attend to learn more about the college on Saturday, November 4th. Registration for the day begins at 9:30 a.m. in the Robert W. Brown Performing Arts Center on campus. The visit will include learning about majors, participating in an experiential learning session, a tour of campus, learn more about the FAFSA for financial aid, and a complimentary lunch. Auditions and workouts for scholarship could be arranged. The day will end around 1:30 p.m. Please sign up at culver.edu/visit or call 800-537-1883.

  • Seniors - remember after you fill out the Iowa Elks scholarship online please print a copy and turn into Mrs. Adam for the local Keokuk Elks Lodge to select winner(s)

  • Seniors -Missouri Bright flight eligibility - ACT score of 30 equals $1000 award in Missouri, ACT score of 31 equals a $3000 award in Missouri.

  • Voice of Democracy Contest sponsored by VFW Grand Prize $30,000, Theme:  “American History: Our Hope for the Future.” Due Date – Oct. 27th to Mrs. Adam. A speech that is recorded 3-5 minutes expressing their interpretation of the assigned patriotic theme.

  • Patriot’s Pen scholarship sponsored by VFW – Grand Prize $5,000, Theme – “America’s Gift to My Generation, Deadline to Mrs. Adam – Oct. 27th – even though flyer says Oct. 31st –

  • Vatterott College invites seniors and parents to a FAFSA night on 10/17/2017 from 5:30-7pm. Vatterott also hosts Tour Tuesdays. We would love to invite students out to our campus every Tuesday to take a quick tour, get a soda and a bag of candy.  Then head out into town in Quincy for a night of fun with their friends. Qdoba has $1 tacos with the purchase of a drink every Tuesday, and AMC STUBS members (which is free to join) can enjoy $4 movies and $4 popcorn on Tuesday. 

  • Conservation Leadership Corps 
    Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) is a youth education program for high school juniors and seniors and college students that are interested in the conservation of Missouri's natural resources. The program allows students to learn about and get involved in conservation advocacy and policy development, build leadership and communication skills, and network with resource professionals from state agencies and other conservation organizations statewide. Application deadline is November 15th. More Information: Contact:

  • Students ages 16-18 who have interest in a career in Criminal Justice System are eligible to apply to the MO Cadet Patrol Academy  - must have a 2.0 or higher GPA, driver's license - applications outside the Guidance Office - deadline to submit is Feb. 15th - cost is $450

  • CSC Pillars of Excellence Full-Tuition Scholarship competition - must have 26ACT, 3.5 GPA and ranked in top 10% of class - Sign up online at culver.edu/pillars

  • The Journey to College website (journeytocollege.mo.gov) provides a central location where students can get information to help them find a school that is the “best fit” for them and achieve their college and career goals.

  • Seniors interested in Washington University see Mrs. Adam about the Danforth Scholarship - deadline to see me is Oct. 30.
