It's Frog and Toad Friday!
Meet cast member Dani Welte! Dani is a senior at HHS and this is her sixth production for HHS Drama Club! Dani will be taking on the roles of Lizard, Squirrel, and Large and Terrible Frog in A Year With Frog and Toad.
The best word to describe Dani is determined. Even though life has thrown her some large and terrible curveballs, she perseveres anyway and continues to be the most incredible person. She takes care of her castmates and always works so hard to make sure she is doing her best. She is also always quick with a joke to lighten any situation. Not only is she a talented actor, but she is also a very talented artist who has such a bright future in front of her. There is nothing Dani won't be able to achieve and we are so excited to watch the amazing impact she is going to have on the world!

There will be a meeting on April 24, 2022 at 3pm in the High School Commons to discuss the golf tournament fundraiser for Highland girls and boys basketball. All parents of high school girls and boys basketball players are encouraged to attend.

April Artists of the Month at HES! These students were not only responsible, respectful, and safe in the art room, but each day they came in the with a positive attitude, helped others, and tried their best on what they were working on. Congratulations!

Meet cast member Lizzy Frisbie! Lizzy is a senior at HHS and this is her fourth production for HHS Drama Club! Lizzy will be taking on the roles of Mouse and Mole in A Year With Frog and Toad.
Lizzy's quiet personality shines on and off stage in such a unique way. She is so quiet that sometimes we don't know she's arrived at rehearsal and we will ask if anyone has seen or heard from her and she will calmly raise her hand to show us she's there. She displays this same calming presence on stage. We are so lucky she plucked up the courage to audition for Trap several years ago because she has been a positive and loving addition to our group ever since. We are so excited to watch the amazing impact she is going to have on the world!

Dani Welte won Best of Show at the CCC art competition! She also received three blue ribbons!
Art one has been creating mugs (funny faces) on functional mugs. We enjoyed a tea party today
Receiving honorable mention in the CCC art competition were Nic Meyer, Sydney McChristy, Sylvia Reid, and Trevor Daggs

Highland FBLA members attended the State Leadership Conference in Springfield on April 10-12. Members competed in online tests and performance events. Laney Lay placed 9th place in Business Management.
The JH Track meet scheduled for today at Clark Co has been postponed due to weather. It has been rescheduled for 4/28/22. GO COUGARS!!
