Happy Birthday to Breanna Klocke from the Highland Softball family!

Please read the following letter from Superintendent French explaining what the "Get The Lead Out" results mean and the continued process. https://bit.ly/3SSzb1g

Last Tuesday I received the water sample test results from the "Get The Lead Out Of Schools" testing the district conducted. LCC-1 had 138 sample points tested, with 28 of those samples testing above the 5 parts per billion requirement. The following two links contain the test results, immediate action steps, and the next steps which include flush sample testing. We have already completed the immediate action steps and the flush sample testing follow-up is scheduled for this Friday 3/1/24.

FFA Week is a wrap! Thank you to a great community and great members. Thanks also to Lewis Co Farm Bureau and Bank of Monticello for sponsoring our Packets for our members to take to HES.

Mrs. Johnston's 1st grade class was excited to have FFA members (our cadet teacher) Miss Alainah and Bailey come read to our class! We loved learning about FFA. Thanks to the FFA chapter for providing everyone with goodies to take home- including a book and cool crayon!

Spring Sports Athletes: You will need an up to date physical AND a filled out AR Form to begin practice. Forms may be picked up in the HS Office. You may check to see if you are missing any forms in the office, as well.
Spring picture day is coming soon! It is set for Tuesday, 2/27/24. Find out more info on the graphics or by following link shared here.

The LCC1 Board of Education met last night and approved a calendar revision for the 2023-24 School Year. Thursday, March 28th (the Thursday before Easter) will be used as a required makeup day. This day will be a regular full day schedule.

The elementary cast of E-I-E-I Oops was honored to perform a song from their upcoming show for our school board Wednesday evening! We love showing off that Cougar talent!
