The LCC1 school district, in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Office and Highway Patrol, conducted an active shooter/intruder drill this morning at both buildings. All went extremely well and there are no safety concerns at the school district.
Since we are getting pretty close to showtime, the cast of HES's Rainbow Fish Musical held a virtual rehearsal on our snow day today! Virtual rehearsals are HARD but these kids came prepared and did their very best this afternoon! We are so proud of them!

Highland Schools have changed to closed for Monday 3/7/22. Road conditions have worsened since 4:45am and while some areas are fine, others are slick. Stay safe and see everyone on Tuesday.
Highland Schools will be operating on a 2 hour delay today (Mon 3/7/22). If roads do get worse, then we will cancel. The Spanish Club trip scheduled for this morning has been cancelled.

There will be a Drug Free Youth Committee meeting on Tuesday March 8 at 6pm in the high school commons. Topic will be the after prom party. All parents are encouraged to attend.
It's Frog and Toad Friday!
Meet cast member Gary Wright! Gary is a freshman at HHS and this is his second production for HHS Drama Club. Gary will be taking on the role of Father Frog in A Year With Frog and Toad!
Gary's sense of humor and quick wit make our rehearsals so much fun! He's quiet but if you listen closely, he is probably making an excellent joke! We are so glad to have him as part of our cast!
