Highland Elementary sixth graders will proudly present their annual Veterans Day music program on Thursday, November 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the HES gym.

HES had another Kindergartener (Mrs. Jennings’s Class) reported as COVID positive, symptom onset was 10/28, but exposure dates would include 10/26-10/28. The student does not ride a bus. Please continue to monitor daily for symptoms of COVID and keep/stay home if experiencing any
The Highland chapter of the National Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony Thursday evening in the high school commons. Nineteen new members were inducted.
HES’s PBS Big Ticket Item this month was pumpkin painting! Students were able to purchase a ticket with their Cougar Cash to decorate their very own pumpkin. When they dry, they will get to take them home for Halloween! The end results were SO creative! A HUGE shoutout to the Rutledge family who donated the pumpkins for this fun event!

Also learned of a new positive 6th grader, but there were no exposure dates at school as the student was not at school while contagious!
HES was notified of a COVID positive 2nd grader with possible exposure dates 10/25 - 10/27 & rode bus 18 all days in the AM & PM. Please monitor daily for signs/symptoms of COVID & keep/stay home if experiencing sickness.
