Cora’s teacher says she consistently demonstrates what it means to be a role model in her classroom. The Class 3 District 6 Girls Championship game has been set!! The Highland Lady Cougars will take on the Monroe City Lady Panthers on Friday February 27 at 6pm!! The gym will open to the public at 5pm! GO COUGARS!!

Congrats Lady Cougars on a solid win over Macon, 63-35, in Class 3 District 6 Semifinal action. The Lady Cougs advance to the Championship game Fri, 2/27 @ 6pm. Congrats ladies and also to Coach Jaco who picked up her 100th win with tonight's victory. #WeAreHighland #GoCougars

One of Drama Club's biggest missions is putting high-quality theatre in front of as many kids as possible! Today, Drama Club was thrilled to give all HES 5th graders the opportunity to see the first act of The Lightning Thief at Quincy Community Theatre! We were especially excited to see current Drama Club member Quinton Miller on stage as Grover! Quinton was double cast as Luke and Grover, demonstrating incredible adaptability and dedication as he learned and performed two very different roles. We are so proud of what we witnessed on stage today and equally proud of how respectfully and enthusiastically our 5th graders represented Lewis County! #cougarsonstage #LightningThiefQCT

Happy Birthday to Addison Fish from the Highland Softball Family!

Last night the Highland Quiz Bowl Team ran into a highly competitive team from Clark County and the scores reflected it. The J.V. score was Clark County winning 180-100 and then Clark also winning the Varsity contest by the score of 480-80. our Team is determined to improve as we get more experienced and this is a stepping stone on the way there. Go Highland!

Our 7th-grade science students are getting hands-on with genetics by extracting DNA from strawberries! During this exciting lab, they were able to see DNA up close and learn how genetic material is present in all living things. It’s always amazing to watch science come to life in the classroom. Great work, scientists!
