8th-grade scientists in action! Today, our students had a blast at the Bubble Buster Lab, where they blew bubbles and collected data to test their hypotheses. Using their findings, they constructed solid claims backed by evidence and reasoning. It's amazing to see our young minds engage in hands-on learning and scientific discovery!

20 years ago, the 2005 Highland Lady Cougars went undefeated and won the Class 2 State Softball Championship. On Saturday, September 27th, Highland will host a triangular cluster with Bowling Green and Macon. We plan to welcome back the 2005 State Champs for a special recognition ceremony between games. Please make plans to join us as we remember that historic season and honor them on the field.

Junior High World History students went on an "archeological dig" for "artifacts" to learn about the important work of archeology and anthropology. Plus, chocolate chip cookies are good! There could be a future Indiana Jones at HHS!!

8th Grade S.T.E.M. explored DNA this week. They learned how DNA profiling is used to solve crimes, extracted DNA from strawberries, and made candy models of DNA molecules.

The Highland Lady Cougars went undefeated this weekend, winning 4 games in the STL Sportswear Tournament. at Francis Howell Central. Along the way, Keera Rothweiler scored her 119th career run, breaking the record previously held by Avery Johnson (118 career runs).

The Lewis County C-1 Trap Team traveled to the Schuyler Trap Shoot scoring 201/250 and 173/250 and to the Memphis Trap Shoot scoring 216/250 & 168/250. Cason Bliven was the high shooter of the day and eared High Shooter at Memphis with 50/50!
