It's NOT Friday but it’s time to honor our final cast member on the night of our dress rehearsal!
Meet cast member Cheyenne VanMeter! Cheyenne is a senior at HHS and this is her sixth production for HHS Drama Club! Cheyenne will be taking on the role of best friend extraordinaire Frog in A Year With Frog and Toad!
I could tell from the moment Cheyenne auditioned for her first show that acting was something she was passionate about. From that first day, she has worked so hard for this club on stage and off. Her leadership skills are incredible! Her castmates (and directors!) look to her for guidance and this will be something we will all miss next year. We can’t wait to watch her on stage at SEMO and witness the amazing impact she is going to have on the world!

I had the privilege of traveling with Mrs. Fryer, Mrs. Flanagan, Mrs. Hubble, Mr. French and several fine students to the CCC field day at Monroe City!! A very positive piece of our conference and our athletes did wonderful!! Lots of smiles and medals!! Congrats to all! GO CCC!!
CCC Field Day 2022 — a bit cold, but our kids are doing great and having a blast.
Highland's Junior High Spring Dance will be held Saturday, May 14th from 6-9PM. Only Highland Students in grades 7-8 will be able to attend. Doors will open at 5:30PM for parents and students to come in and take pictures. Entry to the dance will be $5 and there will be drinks and some snacks provided. The Highland High School prom was held Saturday evening at the school. Promenade and the coronation ceremony were held in the commons. This years King and Queen were Nic Myers and Danielle Welte.

The CCC Track meet scheduled for today at Highland has been moved to Tuesday 5/3/22 due to the high risk of rain and storms this afternoon. We will use the same time schedule with javelin at 2:45, other field events start at 3:30 and running events starting at 4:30. GO COUGARS!

Meet cast member Nic Myers! Nic is a senior at HHS and this is his sixth production for HHS Drama Club! Nic will be taking on the role of the grumpy and anxious (but incredibly lovable) Toad in A Year With Frog and Toad!
Nic has come such an incredibly long way in our program! From literally begging him during his first couple of shows to stand in the light so he could be seen on stage to a leading role his senior year demonstrates the journey Nic has taken in four years. Nic's confidence in himself and on stage has grown so much! His acceptance into SEMO's prestigious acting program proves that when Nic believes in himself, he is able to achieve anything.
