The Junior High Spring Dance will be held Saturday, May 15th from 6:00-9:00PM in the HHS Commons. Doors will open at 5:30PM. Tickets will be sold in advance starting Monday, May 10th and can be purchased from a JH Student Council Member or Mrs. Wiskirchen for $5. No out of school dates allowed. Virtual student Chromebooks will be collected starting on May 17th - May 27th. Each student/parent will need to contact their case manager to set up a time to bring the Chromebook to Highland High School (regardless of which grade the student is in). Chromebooks will be inspected and a receipt will be given indicating any issues with the Chromebook. The receipt will be a copy of the Chromebook collection checklist that will be used and will be signed by a staff member and the student or parent. Please be sure to bring the original school issued charger as well as the case with the Chromebook.

Yesterday the Clarence Cannon Conference held its Conference Track and Field meet at Clark County High School. Highland competed very well. The boys placed 3rd overall behind Monroe and Centralia while the girls placed 8th. On the boys side A new conference record was set by Highland in the 4x100 meter relay and a school record dating back to 1983 was broken in the 200 M dash. Tickets are available on the MSHSSA website. Tickets must be purchased from the website and no tickets or transactions will take place at the meet for fans wishing to attend. There are no active restrictions for fans in place at Monroe City.

Due to a lack of sub bus drivers Bus 17 Tanya Austin will be run late today. If you wish to pick your child up you may make those arrangements by calling your child's attendance center.

Bus 18 Les Edmonston will be running late due to mechanical issues. The route will be run but will be approximately 20 minutes behind schedule.

If your child will be attending summer school, they will still need to return their school issued Chromebook. Chromebooks will be collected from all students on their designated collection day. Summer school Chromebook use is still being discussed and finalized. We may not need Chromebooks for summer school or only certain grades may need them. If any Chromebooks are reissued for summer school, they will be collected at the conclusion.

On Thursday, Miss Johnson’s 2nd graders used cup phones during their sound unit. They had to make a hypothesis and see by the vibrations, if they could hear their partner talking.

The V/JV baseball games scheduled for today 5/3/21 vs. Monroe City have been changed as follows: JV game is cancelled due to low numbers for Monroe City. The Varsity game will be played AT Monroe City starting at 6pm due to the wet field conditions at Highland. GO COUGARS!!

V/JV Golf scheduled for today Monday 5/3/21 at Clark Co is cancelled.

Parents and Guardians: Please see the following information regarding grade level dates for Chromebook collection. Your student will need to bring their district issued Chromebook in the case as well as the charger on their assigned day for collection. Chromebooks will be inspected at that time with any damages being noted and a receipt will be filled out and given to the student to take home to the parent/guardian.
