If you checked the box, Accept Insurance, on the Chromebook Agreement form and have not paid for the insurance you have until Oct. 15th to pay in full. You are able to make payments as needed, however, as stated on the agreement form if full payment is not received by Oct. 15th the insurance will be void and any repairs will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. 1 - student $25, 2 - students $35, 3 students - $45 and 4 or more is a flat rate of $50. The Lady Cougars get a win on the road at South Shelby 3-0. Payton Miller gets the win scattering 3 hits and striking out 12. Emma Harshberger was 2-4 with an rbi triple. The JV team lost a close one 12-10.
Due to a positive COVID exposure to the JH softball team & the connected quarantines, the JH Softball season has come to a close. Congratulations to the coaches and the girls on a spectacular season. Games scheduled for Wed. & Thur. have been cancelled. #CougarPride

October Artists of the Month at HES! These students were not only responsible, respectful, and safe in the art room, but each day they came in the with a positive attitude, helped others, and tried their best on what they were working on. Congratulations!



HES 6th graders were exposed to a positive individual on the field trip last Thursday, as well as Friday and Monday. Parents of all 6th graders, as well as the adults on the trip, need to be monitored closely for symptoms and anyone with symptoms need to stay home from school.
HHS has another COVID positive 8th grader with symptom onset on 10/1. This student does not ride a bus, but was present 9/29, 9/30 and 10/1. Parents need to monitor their children for symptoms and keep sick ones home.
Mr. Wagner' s K- 4 students are learning about the dangers of smoking and drinking alcohol underage.

Highland Athletic Boosters monthly meeting has been rescheduled to next Tuesday, 10/12 @ 5:45 p.m. in the Commons at the High School. Hope to see you there!
The V/JV softball games scheduled for today have been postponed to Wednesday 10/6 at Monroe City. JV at 5pm and Varsity to follow. #GoCougars!!
The championship game of the CCC JH Softball Tournament will be finished at Macon on Wednesday Oct 7. Game time will be approximately 6pm. Game will resume where it left off with Highland leading Centralia 1-0.
Due to low numbers at Mark Twain and after no luck with extensive efforts to find a new opponent the JV Football game scheduled for tomorrow 10/4 has been cancelled.
JH Lady Cougar Softball was ahead 1-0 top of the 3rd in the CCC Championship game vs Centralia... when lightning and rain forced cancelation. Make up plans are pending.
