LCC1 will be forced back into Distance Learning for a minimum of 2 days, but in all honesty, it will likely be more like a week+. We lost a few more staff members today and tonight from COVID-19 sickness and/or quarantine. Updated timeline will be announced in next day or two.

Bus 22 Cindy Adam’s afternoon bus route will have to be run late today due to a driver shortage. Parents may pick their children up at school if they do not want them to be held late at school. Thank you for your patience.

Those planning to attend tonight’s Highland girls game at the Palmyra Tournament please note the following;
1. Game will be at 7pm at the middle school
2. Gates will not open to spectators until 6:30pm
3. Spectators must use entrance marked visitors.
4.Only numbered tickets 1 or 2 may be used to gain entry.

We have just recently learned of a positive student case at the elementary last Wed & Thur. Contact tracing is currently underway, as well as efforts to contact those that will be quarantined.

Another reminder: 7th-12th grade remains in Hybrid until a formal announcement is made otherwise. HES is still 5 days per week.

Reminder that tomorrow (1/18/21) is a school day (Make-up snow day #1). Currently, this will have all necessary makeup days covered after tomorrow.

The games scheduled for today 1/15/21 at Macon have been moved to Saturday 1/16/21. Girls start at 5pm. Spectators should use the green tickets provided by the conference. GO COUGARS!!

Highland Votech students will not travel to Hannibal Votech today due to road conditions and continued snow forecast throughout the day.

Highland will use an AMI day today, which means that school is closed, but it is still counted as an attendance day. No makeup day, but students will have assignments from teacher to complete for their attendance to be counted! Please check school emails/Google Classrooms.

Highland Lady Cougars JV basketball team defeats Canton 39-36. #GoCougars

Bus 2 Debbie Schaffer will be run as a secondary route both in the morning and in the afternoon tomorrow Friday 1/15. This means there will be significant delays in pick up and drop off times. Parents wishing to avoid these delays my drop off and pick up their students. This is due to a lack of sub bus drivers.

1-14-21 games will be broadcast on the NFHS Network. Highland gym system issues have been addressed!
