HES’s PBS Big Ticket Item this month was pumpkin painting! Students were able to purchase a ticket with their Cougar Cash to decorate their very own pumpkin. When they dry, they will get to take them home for Halloween! The end results were SO creative! A HUGE shoutout to the Rutledge family who donated the pumpkins for this fun event!

HES was notified of a COVID positive 2nd grader with possible exposure dates 10/25 - 10/27 & rode bus 18 all days in the AM & PM. Please monitor daily for signs/symptoms of COVID & keep/stay home if experiencing sickness.

Also learned of a new positive 6th grader, but there were no exposure dates at school as the student was not at school while contagious!

New HHS COVID-19 Positive: 9th grader with dates of exposure 10/25-10/27 and rode bus 11 in the AM & PM. Please monitor closely for signs/symptoms if you or your child may have been exposed and keep sick ones home!

The 4th grader was from Uhlmeyer's class and dates of exposure would be 10/26 & 10/27 with the student riding bus #11 both AM & PM on those dates. Please monitor closely for signs/symptoms if you or your child may have been exposed and keep sick ones home!

Shrader's Class Kindergartener: dates of possible exposure are 10/26 & 10/27 and the student rode Bus #11 in the AM & PM on those days. Please monitor closely for signs/symptoms if you or your child may have been exposed and keep sick ones home!

Schultz's Class Kindergartener: Symptom onset and positive test was on the evening of 10/25 and the student was at school on 10/25 - rode bus #11 in the PM only. Please monitor closely for signs/symptoms if you or your child may have been exposed and keep sick ones home!

Jennings' Class Kindergartener: Tested positive on 10/27 with symptom onset 10/23. Student was at school 10/21-10/26 and rode bus #15 both AM & PM. Again, please monitor closely for signs/symptoms if you or your child may have been exposed & keep sick ones home.

New COVID Positives at HES: 3 Kindergarteners (1 from each of Mrs. Shrader, Mrs. Jennings, and Mrs. Schultz), 1 fourth grader, as well as a new staff member. Please monitor daily for signs/symptoms of COVID and keep sick ones home!!

HES has also learned of two staff members that work with Kindergarten level students that have tested positive for COVID-19. Parents/Guardians: please monitor your students for any signs or symptoms & keep sick children home. If they should develop symptoms contact your Dr.

HHS Update - Catchup from 3 day weekend and 1st two days of this week: A new 9th grader and a food service staff member tested positive for COVID. 9th Grader had symptoms start on 10/12, but was present 10/12-10/15 & 10/18-10/19 and rode bus 8 in am and pm each day!

Soar students had a great time on their field trip today. We took the Haunted Hannibal tour, looked for paranormal activity in the cemetery, and then toured Rockcliffe Mansion.
