There is no school for Highland students on Monday, 9-21-20, but it will be a PD Day for Highland teachers. The CCC Conference PD Day was cancelled, but the PD will take place in-house at Highland this year.

Parents/Guardians: Due to more changes in the guidelines, LCC1 is amending the protocol on quarantined students to allow quarantined students to return to school activities as of the end of the school day on the day they are released from quarantine in those cases where the last instance of close contact was during the school day. Ex: A student athlete is quarantined starting on a Tuesday due to close contact at school, then on the Tuesday they are set to be released from quarantine they would be allowed to participate in their activity that night and return to classes at school on Wednesday.
Due to a scheduling conflict at Mark Twain the JH SOFTBALL TEAM WILL NOW TRAVEL TO NORTH SHELBY TODAY 9/17 for 2 games. Gold team starts at 530 with brown team to follow. GO COUGARS!!

These are third grade judges, senators, and house of representatives that helped pass bills into laws today! The students loved working through the 3 branches of government! They were amazed at how many different jobs are involved.
