
Any high school student interested in high school cheerleading should report to the high school at 3pm on Monday 8/10 for tryouts. Participants must provide their own water bottle and face covering. Parents of participants must take their student's temperature prior to each practice and provide documentation to the coach of that temperature reading. This will be required daily. A current physical is required for tryouts.

High School Band Camp will begin on Monday 8/10. Camp will run from 4-8pm. Band members should bring their own water bottles and a face covering. Parents should take each band member's temperature prior to camp and provide documentation to the band director of what that member's temperature was prior to camp. This will be done daily. Any band member feeling ill should not attend band camp under any circumstances.

High School Fall Sports practices will begin on Monday 8/10 as follows: Cross Country 7-830am, Softball 8-11am, and Football 7-10am. All athletes must bring their own water bottle and a face covering. Parents must screen their child's temperature and send a note to the coach documenting the athlete's temperature. This will need to be done each day before practicing. Any athlete feeling ill should NOT attend practice under any circumstances.

High School students, please see the attached Dual Credit Flyer: Before choosing classes be aware of the math prerequisites - especially Calculus through Central Methodist University. If you do not have the minimum ACT subscore, for example for CMU. you will need to take College Algebra & Trig. for dual credit. Current Juniors and Seniors who have taken Algebra 2 - we have a new class - Statistics! Send Mrs. Adam an email if you would like to add the class to your schedule! We need to fill the class up! Some college majors may require Statistics, so this class would give you the skills to be ready for the college level class.

The board meeting tonight is in the HS Commons (not in the boardroom) to allow for social distancing.

I understand there is a lot of anxiety regarding the re-opening of school. The one thing we know is clearly stated by the CDC in the attached picture; for the sake of our children's health and well-being -- they need to be in school! LCC1 does plan to start school on August 20th

In an effort to combat recent increases of COVID-19 in Lewis County and to protect the students and staff, as well as attempt to protect the official start date for Fall Activities (August 10th), Highland will be entering the mandatory dead period at the conclusion of today (7/24/20). There will be no further activities at school until at least 8/10/20.
