Cougar Nation continues to send our thoughts out to JT (our P-Town neighbor) while he's on his recovery journey. After all various fundraisers were totaled the LCC-1 community raised $2,878.41 for JT and his family. We are so proud of all of our student groups, teams, and school community that helped support this worthy cause Four JT's Journey.

As we begin to near the end of 1st quarter (already??), I would like to properly introduce myself to some of the students as well as parents/guardians. My name is Audra Regan and I am the rootEd advisor in the LCC-1 school district. The rootEd position is still fairly new, so I'd like to share all of the topics I'm able to actively cover with each of our seniors. Every year, I work closely with all seniors to set a plan in place for life after graduation. The goal of rootEd is for every senior to not only have a plan in place, but a realistic way to execute that plan. We cover a wide variety of topics, but are not limited to these topics. This is truly a job I feel rich in. It's incredibly rewarding to watch these students make their college/career dreams happen. Please feel free to reach out to me with ANY questions regarding your senior (or any other student for that matter). See the link attached if you'd like more information on the rootEd Alliance!

Kindergarten morning meeting/calendar time teaches such a wide variety of important skills! Kindergarteners practice counting, identify sight words, sing about the days of the week and months of the year, and graph daily weather trends all within a 20 minute span. It is so amazing to watch them get so excited to learn. Thank you for showing them off today, Mrs. Schultz!
