**Important Notice Regarding Chromebooks** Dear Parents/Guardians, We want to inform you that Chromebooks will not be collected at the end of the school year unless your student is in 6th grade or a senior. If you have purchased insurance, coverage will extend through the summer. If you have not purchased insurance, please note that you will be responsible for any damages. Insurance will be available for purchase again for the 2024-25 school year during fall registration. Please ensure that your child finds a safe place to store their Chromebook over the summer. Advise them not to leave the Chromebook in a car, outside, or anywhere it may get wet. The Chromebook should be stored where pets and younger children will not have access to it. For additional information about Chromebook care, please review the Chromebook Handbook located on our district website under the Parent Quick Links section. If you know that your child will be moving to a new school for the next school year, they must turn in their Chromebook, case, and charger before the end of this school year. HHS students turn into the library and HES turn in to their homeroom teacher. If you find out over the summer that your child will be moving to a new school for the next school year, you will need to bring the Chromebook to the district Central Office, located on the west end of the high school building. You can call 573-209-3217 and ask for Mrs. Moore or email her at smoore@lewis.k12.mo.us for further assistance.
