
All those Cougar fans planning to attend the Lady Cougar’s game tonight at the Palmyra Tournament should know they will be starting approximately 20-25 minutes early!!

Tues., 1/17/23 (3:30-5:30): There will be a meeting for any players interested in playing baseball this year. The first part of the meeting will be in Coach Arnsman's room. We will then head out to the football field. Please bring baseball gloves and warm clothes for outside.

4th graders participated in a simulation about the Columbian Exchange today. They learned how smallpox from Europe devastated the Native American population in the 1500's.





Elementary Student Council members worked on flyers and posters to promote our school store!
Students can support our HES Student Council by shopping the school store at breakfast and purchasing ice cream on Fridays for $1!





Soar students have started a new STEAM challenge this week, "Snow Fun." They have started on their snow plow.

At the half the Lady Cougars lead Canton 25-21 in the 51st Annual Highland Tournament Championship game!! GO COUGARS!!

After one quarter in the Girls Championship game at the 51st Annual Highland Tournament the Lady Cougars lead Canton 13-8!! GO COUGARS!!

Doors will open to the public at 3pm today for the Championship games of the 51st Annual Highland Tournament. Girls game will tip off at 4pm followed by the boys game. GO COUGARS!!

Today Mrs. Jennings’ kindergarten class re-enacted the story “The Mitten” by being the characters that all climbed inside a small white mitten! We worked on our reading skills of sequencing and characters.



Reminder that there will be no JV basketball games tonight at North Shelby. JV will play Monday 1/9/24 at Clark Co. Boys only starting at 6pm. Tuesday 1/10/23 the JV Boys will play at Canton tip off is at 5pm. GO COUGARS!!

Schoolhouse Rock Live! follows Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher who is nervous about his first day of teaching. He tries to relax by watching TV, when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set and show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such songs as "Just a Bill," "Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction."
