We hope to see you at Big Truck and Humanities Night on Friday, May 2, 5:00-7:00 pm at HHS. There are numerous activities including seeing the big vehicles, face painting, a petting zoo, robotics demonstrations, free walking tacos and cookies, student work displays, job fair with local employers, voting for the Portrait of Graduate graphics, greenhouse sales, and Highland Hot Spot sales. Come help us celebrate all of the great things at LCC-1!
April Artists of the Month at HES! These students were responsible, respectful, and safe in the art room, and each day they came in the with a positive attitude and tried their best on what they were working on and that showed in their artwork. Keep up the great work!
The baseball games scheduled for today vs. South Shelby have been postponed. The games will be played Tuesday May 6 at 5pm. GO COUGARS!!

This year during our annual Humanities Night, Highland is pleased to host a HIRING FAIR! Local and surrounding businesses will be set up in our library from 5PM to 7PM ready to talk with the community about available job opportunities. If you have a resume available, feel free to bring that along. We look forward to this first time event!
Congratulations to the Highland cougar varsity baseball team on a 9-3 victory tonight over Marion County! Anthony Walter pitched six innings to record the win and Heath Feldkamp pitched the seventh inning to close the game out!! GO COUGARS!!
Reminder that baseball Senior Night will be celebrated this afternoon at 445pm followed by a Varsity baseball game vs. Marion Co. First pitch is scheduled for 530pm. GO COUGARS!!
Mrs. Jennings' Kindergarten Class celebrated Earth Day by learning about how we can take care of our planet. They went on a nature hunt, wrote about Earth Day, and planted seeds. Today the Highland FFA students helped us plant our own sunflower greenhouses!

This Friday is Big Truck and Humanities Night at Highland High School. Come out to celebrate all the great things at LCC-1.
Miss. Eisenberg's kindergarten class got to spend their morning with some of our FFA members! They were able to plant sunflowers in their own "greenhouse!" It was a hands on experience for everyone- full of questions, teamwork, and a little dirt!
The high schoolers did a great job leading the activity and explaining to the little ones how the sunflowers will grow! We love to see all of our students connecting across grade levels!🌻
Eighth Grader, Chynna Eaton, competed at the Missouri National History Day Contest after qualifying at the regional contest. Chynnas project topic was about the Selma Marches during the Civil Rights movement of the 1960's. She was inspired by the book, "Turning 15 On the Road to Freedom" by Linda Lowery. Lowery was the youngest marcher and activist that summer.
Chynna represented HHS very well and did a great job defending her research to the judges.
