Parents/Guardians: Teachers have been seeing an increase in cases of students not charging their Chromebooks. Please be sure to remind your children to charge their Chromebooks every night and to bring them to school fully-charged, as stated in the Chromebook handbook.
Highland HS did have a positive COVID case among the staff, which has led to 1 other staff member quarantined at present, as well as household contacts. It is still important to continue masking or it will lead to more students/staff quarantined! Please do your part!
The Highland Baseball Team will be having an online fundraiser through Fan Cloth beginning Monday, 3/8/21 and ending on Monday, 3/22/21. There are various Highland Baseball and Highland Cougar items. Examples of items that can be purchased are clothing, lawn chairs, tumblers, stadium blankets, and masks. Items purchased will be shipped directly to the buyer's home. When purchasing at the checkout page, people will be asked to select or type in a Highland Baseball Player's name. If you do not know a Highland Baseball Player just list "Highland Cougars" as the referring player. Varsity Track and Field will have a Parents meeting Thursday March 11 at 5:30 PM in the HHS Gym. This is an informational meeting to go over procedures and expectations for the season. Parents or guardians of HS Track members are encouraged to attend.

Mrs. Bainter’s kindergarten class celebrated Dr.Seuss. We made hats, wrote about wishing for duck feet, played green eggs and ham tic tac toe and made cat in the hat and green eggs snacks! We had a great day!
Mrs. Jennings' class celebrated Read Across America! We read The Cat in the Hat, made oobleck slime, and made "truffala tree" cupcakes!

HHS students who would like to participate in FFA Trapshooting next fall will need to have a Hunters Safety Card from MDC. That class will be offered in Ewing, March 23 & 25.
