HHS learned of a new COVID positive 7th grader who rides bus 21 and had contact dates of just 12/13. Please continue to closely monitor for signs/symptoms on a daily basis and keep/stay home if experiencing any of the signs/symptoms of COVID!


HES learned of 2 new COVID positive students yesterday. A kindergartener who rides bus 23 had contact day so f 12/13 & 12/14. Also a 1st grader who rides bus 11 & had contact days of 12/9 & 12/10. Please continue to monitor students closely for S/S & keep home if sick.


Reminder that the JV basketball games originally scheduled for tonight have been changed as follows: Girls - cancelled due to low numbers at Knox Co. Boys - will play at 5pm at Knox Co on Monday 12/20 prior to the scheduled Varsity games. GO COUGARS!!

Fifth grade students were challenged to build the tallest shelves that they could for their elves today.





The JV girls basketball game scheduled for tonight vs. Monroe City has now also been postponed and reschedule is pending. THERE WILL BE NO GAMES PLAYED TONIGHT AT HIGHLAND!!

HHS learned of a COVID-19 positive 7th grader today. Possible contact dates are 12/13 & 12/14 and the student does not ride a school bus. Please continue to monitor closely for signs and symptoms of COVID on a daily basis and stay/keep home if sick!


Fifth graders were challenged to build a parachute for Santa today.





The LCC1 Board of Education will conduct a special meeting beginning at 5:00pm tomorrow (12/15/21) at the Central Office to hear presentations from Architect/Engineering Firms and to act on other items as listed on the full agenda viewable here: https://bit.ly/321Yo2q


Reminder-
Tomorrow, Wed. 12/15/21, is a FULL SCHOOL DAY at LCC-1. Both buildings will run full day schedules & dismiss at normal afternoon times.


Highland boys defeat a scrappy Scotland Co team in a hard fought game 73-63!! GO COUGARS!!

LCC1 was also made aware that there was a positive student present at the K-6 Cheer camp held this past Saturday at HES. Please continue to monitor students daily for symptoms and keep sick ones home!


HHS has learned of 3 recent COVID positives stemming from last week. An 11th grader who does not ride a bus had contact days of 12/6-12/8, an 8th grader on bus 20 am/pm who had the same contact dates, & a 7th grader w/contact dates of 12/6-12/9 (rode bus 16 in PM on 12/7-12/9).


A COVID Committee, of the Lewis County C-1 School District, will meet tomorrow at 8pm (after the choir/band concert) in the HS Commons to discuss any changes in the districts mitigation strategies/protocols. The full agenda can be viewed here: https://bit.ly/3Gxvne2.


Cheerleaders and students enjoyed cheer camp. Come see their performance at halftime of the varsity girls basketball game on December 17th.





Reminder to come out and be LOUD tonight as the Cougars take on Monroe City for the championship of Missouri’s oldest basketball tournament!! Tip off is at 6:30 in Monroe City!! GO COUGARS!!

JH Lady Cougars finish the season with wins over Hannibal on Saturday, and Canton on Friday. 8th grade team go undefeated at 15-0, and 7th grade team finish 12-1! Congrats ladies on a great season! #alwaysproudtobeacougar
