The Highland Lady Cougars finished our season yesterday with a 2nd place District finish. We would like to thank everyone who came out to cheer us on and support us all season long. We are very blessed to have the love and support of our families, friends, and community!


The Lady Cougars advance in Class 2 District 6 semi-final with a 3-2 win over Palmyra last night. Payton Miller gets the win allowing 2 runs on 4 hits with 10 K's. Offensively, Emma Harshberger was 3-3 with a triple and 2 runs scored and Miller was 2-4 with a double and 2 RBI's.

The Highland Lady Cougar softball team defeats Palmyra 3-2 to advance to the district title game tomorrow at 1pm!! Lady Cougars take on Clark Co for the ship!! GO COUGARS!!

Highland art club and advanced art students enjoyed the Henry Lay sculpture center, painting and sketching outdoors, and great October weather!





Today in Mrs. Bainter’s kindergarten class, we did pumpkin investigating with small size pumpkins! Thanks to the Degarmo family for donating them to our class!

Seventh Grade Geography students have been studying about Earth's physical systems. Today they built models to share what they've learned.





The Highland Lady Cougars move on in district play with a win over Mark Twain 6-0. Miller gets the win, allowing 2 hits and 10 K's, and finished 2-4 at the plate with a double. Harshberger and Mead each had 2 hits. Lady Cougars are back in action tonight vs Palmyra at 6:30.

HES was informed of another 6th grader who is positive for COVID-19. Symptom onset was 10/11 and the student was at school on 10/11 & 10/12 and rode Bus 15 both AM & PM. Parents please monitor your children closely for signs & symptoms of COVID & keep children home if present!


Autumn Harvest Farms Reminder:
Bring your family to Autumn Harvest Farms (pumpkin patch in West Quincy) tomorrow, October 15th, for lots of family fun! A portion of the proceeds made from the Play Pen area will be donated to Highland Elementary PTO. Please share!!
