LCC1 has just been informed of another HES student who tested positive for COVID today. This is a 6th grader from Mrs. Abell's class and does not ride a school bus. The student has not been at school the past two days.

We have been informed that HES had a 1st grader in Mrs. Johnston's class and who rides bus 6 test positive for COVID. Parents/Guardians should closely monitor their children for signs/symptoms of COVID-19 daily and keep sick ones home!

All Students, Staff, and Spectators need to conduct the LCC1 Daily Wellness Checklist (https://bit.ly/3tb4Xt0) every day before attending school or school events. Anyone who is not fully vaccinated and has to answer YES to any of the questions SHOULD NOT ATTEND school/events!

LCC1 also learned that we have had another staff member test positive for COVID, but that person had already been out and not around the kids. Remember to do your part to keep everyone safe, use the Daily Wellness Checklist (https://bit.ly/3tb4Xt0) before attending school events!

5th graders worked on separating mixtures today in science.

When schools give students access to laptops and email accounts, an incredible world of learning opportunities open up — as well as potential dangers. Bark helps us monitor all of the content our students are creating, sharing, and sending through school-issued accounts. This helps us to detect potentially dangerous situations that students may be facing both in and out of school, including cyberbullying, threats of violence, predatory advances, sexual content, and suicidal ideation.
In the coming days, you will receive an invitation in your email, that you have provided to the school district, to create a FREE account for the Bark for Schools Family Alerts Dashboard. After school hours and during weekends, breaks, and holidays, you'll receive alerts if issues are detected on your child's accounts, such as in emails or documents. THIS IS ONLY FOR THE SCHOOL ISSUED STUDENT ACCOUNTS USED FOR COMMUNICATION (E-MAIL, GOOGLE DOCS ETC.) - NOT FOR PERSONAL ACCOUNTS.
Bark provides all of the above for FREE as part of their give back program and is available to all K-12 schools and districts in the U.S.
For a monthly fee, you can also enable Bark’s product for families, which monitors texts, email, YouTube and more than 24 social media platforms for potential safety concerns on your student’s personal accounts. Again, be watching your email that you have provided to the school for sign-up information. If you do not receive anything and would like information for signing up, please contact Susan Moore 573-209-3215. Visit www.bark.us or www.bark.us/schools for additional information.
