The district baseball game vs. Mark Twain has been suspended due to rain and will resume where it left off on Thursday at 1pm in Palmyra.

Assuming there is no more rain this afternoon the district baseball game vs. Mark Twain will be played tonight at Palmyra. First pitch is at 5pm at Flower City Park. GO COUGARS!!!

Reminder for HES 5th & 6th grade parents/guardians:
Thursday (5/20) those students will take part in puberty lessons during counseling class. If you DO NOT want your student to take part in this please return the form sent home or contact the HES office.

Mrs. Scifres 6th grade math classes have been working on tessellations this week. Some very creative work!





Bus 18 Les Edmonston will be run late this afternoon due to a shortage of bus driver's. The route will be approximately 20-25 minutes behind schedule. If you wish to pick your student up please contact their attendance center to make those arrangements. Thank you.

Virtual student Chromebooks are being collected now through May 27th. Each virtual student/parent will need to contact their case manager to set up a time to bring the Chromebook to Highland High School (regardless of which grade the student is in). Chromebooks will be inspected and a receipt will be given indicating any issues with the Chromebook. The receipt will be a copy of the chromebook collection checklist that will be used and will be signed by a staff member and the student or parent. Please be sure to bring the original school issued charger as well as the case with the Chromebook. If you are missing any of these items, please plan to bring money to pay for them. The replacement charges are as follows:
Replacement Chromebook - $250.00
Replacement Chromebook charger - $25.00
Replacement Chromebook case - $60.00

Come help us send the Cougar Track Teams off to State!! We will send the Cougar Track teams off to the State Track Meet in Jefferson City on Thursday May 20 at 4:30pm. Those wishing to participate should gather in front of the high school to cheer on the Cougars as they leave to participate in the State Track Meet on Friday 5/21/21 at Jefferson City. GO COUGARS!!

First grade enjoyed a snake presentation today. Thanks to Jason Vaughn from the Missouri Department of Conservation for visiting our classroom today!


The Varsity Baseball game scheduled for today at Palmyra has been cancelled due to the weather and field conditions. We will plan to play tomorrow. Time is TBD. GO COUGARS!!

HHS has been informed of another student, this time a sophomore, who is currently positive for COVID-19. This makes 3 HHS students currently in isolation for COVID. The LCHD will advise parents of “close contacts” to monitor for symptoms & to stay home if symptoms develop.
