
The high school health classes did an activity building a house of cards. After working to build those houses, underage drinking came along and ruined their plans.

Highland History Club Veterans Day Program
The Highland High School History Club will be sponsoring the annual Veterans Day Program at the Monticello Court House on Sunday, November 10 at 2:00 p.m. The Highland High School History Club built and dedicated the Veterans Memorial in front of the Court House in 1996. This is the 24th anniversary. The American Legion Post #578 will be presenting colors. Highland High School History Club President Cosea Cisco will give a speech. Guest speaker will be Greg Sharpe who is a member of Missouri House of Representative District # 4.

Tomorrow night Highland Junior High basketball will travel to North Shelby. 7th grade girls will play at 6pm followed by the 8th grade boys. There will be no 8th grade girls game nor a 7th grade boys game due to low numbers at North Shelby.

The National Honor Society Induction Ceremony is this Wednesday at 7 pm. Both old and newly notified members are expected to attend.

Congratulations to the Highland Cross Country team. No state qualifiers this year, but we had some excellent performances and a couple of sick ones that still ran their hearts out! I couldn’t be more proud and look forward to next year!! #GoCougars
