To ensure a strong start, we’re asking that all students in grades 1 through 12 bring their Chromebooks fully charged and ready to use on the first day of school.

Junior High fall practices will start next week as follows:
JH Cross Country Monday 8/18 at 7am.
JH Football Monday 8/18 at 330pm
JH Cheer Monday 8/18 at 330pm
JH Softball Tuesday 8/19 at 330pm
In order to practice you must have a current physical on file.

The Highland Athletic Booster Club NEEDS YOU!
Please make plans to attend their next meeting on Tues. 8/19 at 5:30p in the FB concession stand as they are getting ready for the Fall seasons. There you can learn more about the athletic boosters and discover different ways you can get involved. Please know that your help is vital as the boosters continue to support all of our Highland Cougar athletic teams.

Lewis County C-1 staff officially kicked off the school year today with some fellowship, an intense Rock-Paper-Scissors competition, and lots of learning to prepare for our students' return! We are ready for the 2025-2026 school year to be one of the best!

Reminder: Lewis Co. C-1 is holding an online enrollment session Today, Mon 8/11/25, from 11:00a to 6:30p in the HHS library. We will have computers available in the HS library for anyone needing assistant with online enrollment for their student(s). Staff will be available to help you with that process.
PLEASE NOTE - If you have already enrolled your student(s) via the portal you do not need to come to the building in-person for enrollment purposes.
**Our counselors will be on-site for schedule changes, dual credit enrollment, & any question you have for them. They will also be available for these things during Open House/Meet the Teacher on 8/14 .

Fall practices for high school athletics officially begin on Monday 8/11/25. Everyone participating must have a current physical. Times are as follows:
HS Cross Country - 7:00am
HS Cheer - 3:30-5:30pm
HS Football - 5:00-8:00pm
HS Softball - 5:30-8:00pm

Pre-K Parents/Guardians: All 2025-2026 Pre-k students should now be added to our software system and rostered into their classroom(s). If you have not gone to your parent portal to complete their 25-26 enrollment, you are able to do so at this time. If you are not set up with a portal account, please call Alicia Favre at the HS office (573.209.3215), or email afavre@lewis.k12.mo.us.
