Sixth grade students are researching occupations and learning about Missouri’s Career Clusters in Counseling this week!

Highland boys fall to a very talented Payson Seymour basketball team 67-37. Justin Plant was the Cougars leading scorer with 9 points off three 3 pointers!

Our toy boxes need to be filled and our tree still has room for more items. Monday the 16th is the last day to donate toys, mittens, hats and scarves for families in Lewis County.

A huge thank to our PTO for purchasing Mrs. Schultz’s Kindergarten with their new Promise shirts. We wear them the first school day of each new month to renew our promise to give our best at school.

Gingerbread houses on display HES First Grade

First Graders and guests had a great time building gingerbread houses at HES this afternoon! 🎄❤️💚

HES first and second graders will present their Christmas musical on Tuesday, December 10th at 6:30 in the HES gym.

HHS Drama Club invites any high school student to join us on stage this spring as we present the classic musical The Wizard of Oz! Auditions run December 16th-18th. If you are interested in auditioning, contact Miss Carmody (mcarmody@lewis.k12.mo.us) for an audition packet today!

Because we at HHS love our students and love to wear jeans, we have brought in foods to start our own food pantry for our students at HHS! If anyone wants to donate, please feel free to do so! Every month, Promise Day Live is filmed on location in the classroom with the best attendance the previous month. November’s Classroom of the Month was Mrs. Abell’s sixth grade homeroom and December’s Classroom of the Month is Mr. Jones’s sixth grade homeroom! We know that students who are at school every day are setting themselves up for success and we are so proud of these sixth graders for making learning a priority!
