Thank you Lt Col (R) Chris Childress for coming and presenting a message to the Highland Jr/Sr High Schools students on Veterans Day. Student council prepared breakfast and organized the assembly. American Legion Post #578 presented the colors, HHS Band and Choir performed, STUCO members read the white table ceremony and History Club presented a check to the Great Quincy Honor Flight.

Highland 8th Graders attended the NEMO Career Fair in Hannibal today and learned about the many career opportunities in our area.

It's Veterans Day and Mrs. Jackie's class wants to say Thank You to all serving and have served in the military.


Mrs. Seals 1st grade class released a swallowtail butterfly they watched transform since the caterpillar stage. Students also created a Veteran's Day craft to give to a Veteran they know. Thank you to all of our Veterans!




Highland High School students honored Veterans at the Monticello Court House as they hosted the annual Veterans Day ceremony. Judge Corey Moon was the guest speaker and the Lewistown American Legion Post #578 performed legion ceremony.

On Monday, November 11, Highland High School will hold our annual Veterans Day Program, at 9:00 a.m. in the gym to honor our service men and women.
We would like to invite the public to attend breakfast from 7am-9am and the program following. Lt Col(R) Christopher E. Childress will be our guest speaker, a Highland graduate class of 1993.
