Highland National Honor Society members along with the American Red Cross and with the assistance of nurse, Jordan Maschmeyer hosted a blood drive Monday in the band room. Twenty-five donations were accepted with at least four first time donors. Thank you to our community for participating and to the FACS classes for making cookies.
The Highland Lady Cougar Softball team will host South Harrison on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 1 PM in quarterfinal softball action! Winner will advance to the class 2 state softball tournament in Springfield! Gate for spectators will open at noon! GO COUGARS!!

Aiden Martin had an exceptional week in Cross Country for the Cougars this week earning medals in both meets he competed in this week. He medaled in 9th place at Centralia Tuesday, and 5th place at Monroe City on Friday - he will compete next at the MS State Championships on Saturday, October 25th. Good Luck at State Aiden!

These four JH Cougar XC runners will be representing Highland at the Middle School State Championship race in Wheatland at the Lucas Oil Speedway this coming Saturday, October 25th. All four have had excellent seasons earning medals and improving along the way. All three boys medaled Friday (Aiden Roberts in 5th, Leighton Walton in 12th, and Nick Caudill in 15th) at Monroe City. Eva Logsdon had an excellent week for the Highland XC team this past week bringing home 2 medals and ran a 23:08 at the Brian T. Simpson Invite last Saturday at Gans Creek, which is the home of the State Championship Course. This marked her PR for the season and career, besting her 2024 State Championship Race time by 7 seconds!

Senior, Nathan Caudill sets another PR at Monroe City on Friday running the 5k in 19:10 and bringing home the 13th place medal. Super proud of Nathan - 3rd time this season he has bested his PR & 2nd time in the last week. Nathan's previous PR was a 19:12, which he ran last Saturday at Gans Creek, which was held on the State Championship XC Course!

1st graders had a Bat Museum Day. They learned all about bats and then created their own bat habitats. It was fun to see everyone's knowledge and creativity!
