On Friday February 21, the basketball schedule at Highland will be as follows: 5:00pm JV boys vs. Palmyra, approximately 6:30pm Varsity Girls vs. Palmyra. The Varsity Boys game vs. Palmyra will immediately follow the Varsity Girls Game. GO COUGARS!
Highland will be CLOSED and operating on an AMI Day tomorrow (Thursday 2/20/25) due to dangerously cold real and wind chill temperatures during morning bus times. Weather should warmup considerably during the afternoon on Thursday and school will be back in session on Friday!

Thirty-two members of Highland FBLA competed at the District Leadership Conference on February 17 in Kirksville. Twenty-five members placed in the top 5 of their events with 13 members qualifying to compete at the State Leadership Conference in Springfield in April.
Friday's cheerleading camp updates: We have five more youth small shirts up for grabs! If your child would still like to join cheer camp after school on Friday, please contact hdavis@lewis.k12.mo.us

With the real temperatures being above 0° and windchill factors being at -15° and above, Highland will be in session Wednesday 2/19/25.


The FFA Pancake Breakfast will be rescheduled to Friday evening-serving will start at 4:30 in the ag shop.
The LCC1 admin will continue to closely monitor temperatures & road conditions to make a determination about holding school tomorrow (Wed. 2/19). The current expectation is Highland will be In Session 2/19/25, but any snow accumulation or lower windchills will change that!

The Lewis County C-1 Board Meeting which was planned to be tomorrow night (Wednesday, 2/19/25) has been postponed to Thursday (2/20/25) evening at 5:30pm, with open session beginning at 6pm. Agenda will be posted soon in accordance with the Missouri Sunshine Law.

The HES Family Fun Night scheduled for this Thursday, 2/20, is being moved to Tuesday 2/25. This is to make sure our HHS EDU and FCCLA students have enough time to host a FANTASTIC first ever student led Family Fun Night at HES. WE hope to see you there!

Due to the snow and extreme cold temperatures, Highland Schools will be closed on Tuesday 2/18/25. It will be a traditional snow day (not an AMI day) and no Votech either.

The JV game scheduled with Palmyra tonight has been canceled due to road conditions and continued snow!
