The Lady Cougars defeat Mark Twain in the consolation championship game of the Palmyra Tournament 48-23!! Congratulations ladies!! GO COUGARS!!

The Varsity Boys Basketball game scheduled for tonight 1/19/24 at the Palmyra Tournament has been cancelled. The Varsity Girls will play Saturday 1/20/24 at 11:30am vs. Mark Twain. The Varsity Boys will play immediately following vs. Hannibal. Both games will be played in the Palmyra High School gym. Following these two games the gym will be cleared out and cleaned and those wishing to attend the championship session will be required to pay a second gate fee. Doors will open at 10:30am for the first session. GO COUGARS.

With the new snow already accumulating, low temps, and still sketchy road conditions, Highland will be closed again tomorrow, Friday, 1/19/24. Photos are from this evening!





All games tonight 1/18/24 at the Palmyra Varsity basketball tournament are cancelled. The Highland Varsity boys will now play tomorrow night Friday 1/19/24 at 9:00pm vs. Clark Co. The Highland Varsity girls will now play at 10:00am Saturday morning 1/20/24 in the consolation girls game. More information regarding the altered tournament bracket is forthcoming.

The Varsity basketball games scheduled for tonight vs. Macon have been cancelled. Reschedule date is pending. The Pink Night festivities that were originally scheduled for tonight will now take place on February 2. GO COUGARS!!

Highland will be closed again tomorrow 1/12/24 due to expected ice & snow in combination with some still questionable roads.


Based on the forecasted ice and snow to impact the area starting between 6-9pm this evening the Varsity and JV games at both Highland and Canton scheduled for tonight have been cancelled. Reschedule is pending. GO COUGARS!!

LCC1 will be closed again tomorrow, Thursday 1/11/24, due to road conditions (mainly gravel and secondary roads).


Regarding the announcement earlier today about HS schedule changes - the last day to make schedule changes will be altered based on when we return to school from the snow storm.

LCC1 will be closed again tomorrow, Wednesday 1/10/24, due to the snow. Additionally, the Board meeting will be rescheduled for next Wednesday 1/17/24 instead of tomorrow night.


Varsity basketball games scheduled for today Tuesday 1/9 vs. Canton have been cancelled due to weather. The games have been rescheduled as follows: Thursday 1/11 Varsity girls at Canton 6pm start JV girls will immediately follow. Thursday 1/11 Varsity boys will play Canton at Highland 6pm start with JV boys to immediately follow. GO COUGARS!!

Reminder: TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY to elect for the Virtual Option for 2nd semester. This option is available for students who demonstrated success (completed & passed all coursework) during first semester while in Virtual or for students who were “in person” learning during first semester, but now wish to switch to virtual. In order to make this designation, Parents must complete the SURVEY (https://forms.gle/QDVjVhXG1UbEohBB9 Link to Survey) and submit a signed CONSENT FORM (https://bit.ly/480opMA Link to consent form) by Wednesday, January 10th, 2024. **Also, electing to be Virtual or In-Person is a semester long commitment.
