If you checked the box, Accept Insurance, on the Chromebook Agreement form and have not paid for the insurance you have until the end of 1st Qtr. to pay in full. As stated on the agreement form if full payment is not received by Oct. 18th the insurance will be void and any repairs will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian. 1 - student $25, 2 - students $35, 3 students - $45 and 4 or more is a flat rate of $50. HES Art Club had a great day visiting the famous American Gothic House & Center in Eldon, IA! They walked through the gallery, did a scavenger hunt, & even went inside the famous American Gothic House that even Grant Wood himself never stepped foot in! 🎨

Congratulations to the Marching Highlanders for winning 2nd in parade and 3rd in field show while at The Parade of Champions . Additional Congratulations to the Color Guard for placing 1st. Finally the Marching Highlanders ended the night taking home the Peoples Choice Award.

Congratulations to Highland catcher, Haleigh Winter. Tonight she hit 3 home runs and drove in 6 runs, breaking two records in the process. Her 19 career homeruns, and 105 career RBI's, both surpass the records that were previously held by Becca Scott in 2018 (16 HR & 102 RBI).

Congratulations to Highland pitcher, Abby Lay. She struck out 8 batters tonight, and she has surpassed 300 career strikeouts.

Congratulations to Addy Abell. Tonight, she went 3 for 3 at the plate, with 4 RBI. She also scored 3 runs, taking her career total to 100 runs scored.

Congratulations to Bailie Crist. Tonight, she went 4 for 4, with 3 runs scored, & 6 RBI. She collected her 100th career hit and hit 2 doubles, breaking the Highland single season record for doubles (16). The previous record was 15, held by Payton Miller.

Just a reminder that the JH Softball games vs. Knox Co have been moved to Highland. Gold Team starts at 5pm. Varsity and JV will still travel to Knox Co for their games. GO COUGARS!!
2024 State Qualifying Lady Cougar Golf Team.
Congratulations to the Highland Varsity Girls Golf Team as they captured a district championship yesterday at Westran. The Lady Cougars will advance to the State Golf Championships at Farmington as a team. Morgan Crist finished 1st in the district. Josie Murphy finished 8th and Ava Hudson finished 11th all earning medalist honors. Natalie Bowen finished 20th. Congratulations ladies and Good Luck at State. GO COUGARS!
The Class 2 District 5 softball bracket is set. Highland is the #1 seed and will host the tournament. There will be three first round games on Wed, 10/16, two semi-final games on Thurs, 10/17, & the district championship will be on Sat, 10/19.

1st grade had their first Bat Museum today! They have been learning all about bats and showcased their knowledge by creating bat habitats. Mrs. Johnston's class enjoyed touring each classes Bat Museum to see their amazing creations.



The kindergarten team wants to thank the Highland Elementary PTO for our staff shirts and all their hard work!
