Miss. Eisenberg's class went on a nature walk today! They used their senses to explore the environment around them! They found many leaves, sticks, flowers, and even some insects! They also documented their findings by drawing pictures of them in a graph!











Congratulations to Highland Golfer Morgan Crist on her 3rd place finish at the State Golf Championships in Sedalia October 16-17, 2023. Morgan competed against over 95 golfers at the state tournament. This is the highest finish for any Highland Golfer at the MSHSAA State Golf Championships. Congratulations Morgan!! GO COUGARS!!

The Highland Cheerleading Squad and Football Team hosted their first annual Homecoming Jersey Auction on Wednesday! They had a great turn out and raised $3000 to go towards building their programs! The highest bid went to Bradley Renier’s Jersey for $275! Both teams had a great night and look forward to seeing everyone in their jerseys on Friday! October Artists of the Month at HES! These students were responsible, respectful, and safe in the art room, and each day they came in the with a positive attitude and tried their best on what they were working on and that showed in their artwork. Keep up the great work!




Highland National Honor Society held its annual Induction Ceremony on Tuesday evening in the high school commons. Officers were installed and new members were inducted.


Highland schools will be closed Monday (10/23/23) to allow district employees to attend the celebration of life services for Sarah Degarmo. Classes will resume on Tuesday, but remember Friday (10/27/23) is also a scheduled day off with parent-teacher conferences on Wed. and Thur.


Our Finding Nemo cast had the incredible honor of attending the first student preview show of Quincy Community Theatre’s The Hobbit Tuesday morning! What an incredible show! The cast and crew were phenomenal and we loved seeing 8th grader Quinton Miller on stage!
We are so incredibly lucky to have such a professional community theatre so committed to education and outreach! Thank you, QCT!
