Consolation semifinal #1 at the Highland Tournament sees Knox Co defeat Canton on a buzzer beating 3 pointer 47-44!!
Due to the winter weather that occurred earlier this week resulting in the Highland Tournament being postponed games will now be played on Saturday 1/8/22 as follows: 1:00pm - Girls Consolation, 2:30pm - Boys Consolation, 4:00pm - Girls 3rd Place, 5:30pm - Boys 3rd Place. Championship games will be played January 15, 2022 with time TBD.

HES sent a 3rd grader (Phillip's) home today after testing positive for COVID. We are also aware of at least 1 individual on each of the band trip buses who have tested positive for COVID. Please monitor yourself/students for symptoms closely. Stay home and get tested if sick!

The JV Basketball games scheduled for Friday January 7 at North Shelby have been postponed due to low player numbers at North Shelby. A reschedule date is pending. GO COUGARS!!
Currently, Highland does expect to be in session tomorrow. Bus drivers will use a modified, hard surfaces approach to picking kids up. They should have already made arrangements with families who may need to meet them at a different location.

The Highland Tournament will be played tonight starting at 4:30pm. First round girls action as follows: 4:30 - Macon vs. Knox Co, 6:00pm - Scotland Co vs. Canton, 7:30pm - Palmyra vs. Clark Co and 9:00pm - Kirksville vs. Highland.
LCC1 schools will be closed Tuesday, 1/4/22, due to the current road conditions in throughout the county. We fully expect school will be in session on Wednesday with the warmer temperatures and sunshine tomorrow.

The 50th Annual Highland Basketball Tournament has been postponed due to road conditions in Lewis County. Current game plan is that games scheduled for tonight will be played tomorrow night, with all dates moved back 1 night & Championship games taking place on Saturday 1/15/22.
