
The Highland Lady Cougars win 3-2 over Canton in 11 innings. Payton Miller walked it off with a one out, 2 RBI double, scoring Olivia Ritterbusch and Emma Harshberger. Miller earned the victory striking out 9. Highland will host Kirksvile on Thursday, JV at 5PM, Varsity at 6:45.

Kindergarten students have been learning about the library and how to take care of books. This week is their first chance to borrow a book from the library.


Lady Cougar Softball hosted Louisiana last night. JV came out on top in their game 3-1, Abby Lay picks up the win in the circle. Varsity team won 14-0, Emma Harshberger earned the victory throwing a one hit shutout. Payton Miller finished with 3 hits and 4 RBI's

Two big wins for JH Softball against Palmyra. Gold team wins 14-9 and Brown team comes away with the 13-4 victory! Both teams play in Lewistown against South Shelby Tuesday starting at 5.

HHS had a student at the end of last week test positive for COVID and then had another identified today. Please continue to monitor closely for symptoms and stay home when sick.

Highland Jr/Snr High students and parents.
Please return all student registration forms a.s.a.p. There are student blue forms, acceptable use, and handbook agreement forms that have not been turned into the office. Additionally, parents if you have not paid for your students chrome book insurance and would like to please do so by Oct. 14, 2022. Students must have all forms returned to the high school office in order to attend school dances. The first high school dance will be after the Homecoming football game on Sept. 30th.

Beginning Band Night is this Thursday the 15th!!! 6th Grade Parents should check their emails for a time to sign up for instrument rental.


FFA Trap traveled to Memphis & Schuyler County Saturday. Memphis results were a score of 206/250. AJ was high shooter 46/50. Schuyler results were 230/250 with Jackson shooting 48/50 and Alainah 49/50. Michaela shot her first 25 straight & Jackson, Alainah & AJ all had 25 straight.

Site change: Due to moving a varsity game to Highland as well as ongoing field renovations on our baseball field we will play the JH softball games tomorrow vs. South Shelby at the Lewistown City field. Game time will remain 5pm. Go Cougars!!

September 13 Varsity Softball at Canton has been moved to Highland (NO JV GAME) Game time is 5:30pm
September 19 Varsity and JH softball vs. Canton has been moved TO Canton. (NO JV GAME) Games start at 5pm.
Sept 19 there will be a fundraising barbecue at Canton in memory of Londyn Logsdon. Proceeds to benefit a Lewis Co family in need.

The Highland Cross Country team traveled to Palmyra today. Highland Varsity runners Kaycie Stahl (5th) and Ethan Clow (18th)came away with medals for the Cougars! Nathan Caudill, AJ Caudill, and Isaac Roberts narrowly missed medals for Highland also. Way to #GoCougars!
