Advance Physical Therapy will be hosting a free SPORTS and ACTIVITIES physical clinic on July 19, 2022 from 5:30pm - 8:30pm at Advance Physical Therapy at 4800 Maine St in Quincy, IL. Appointments are required 217-222-6800. All those intending to participate in junior high or high school sports and/or marching band are required to have a current physical prior to being able to participate in practice or contests.

High School Band Camp will be held August 8 - 12 and August 15 - 16, 2022 from 10:30am - 2:30pm. Camp will begin in the band room each day. Starting with the 2022-23 school year all those students participating in marching band will be REQUIRED to have a pre-participation physical prior to being allowed to participate in marching band and band camp.

A corrected Summer Journey gift card update will be coming home soon with students enrolled in summer school. The original paper had the incorrect number of hours in the school day. The final day of summer school is June 30, and it is a full day.

HES COVID positive student 3 of 3 - 5th grader from Miss Hultz's class & rides bus 5 with possible exposure dates on 6/20, 6/21, and 6/22. Please monitor closely for symptoms and keep sick ones home to avoid COVID outbreaks.

HES has 3 more students that have tested positive for COVID - Kindergartener in Shrader's class & rides bus 22 with possible exposure dates on 6/21, 6/22, and 6/23. Please monitor closely for symptoms and keep sick ones home to avoid COVID outbreaks.


HES had another COVID positive student identified - 1st grader from Cunningham’s class, possible exposure dates 6/19-6/21 & was on Bus 5 through 6/21 am route on those dates. Please monitor closely for symptoms and keep sick ones home.

Highland High School Youth Softball Camp will be Monday, 7/18 thru Wednesday, 7/20, from 6PM - 8PM. Please see the attached camp form. Forms need to be turned in by July 1st.


LCC1 had 4 staff members test positive for COVID at the end of the week last week, plus a student from Mrs. Bainter's grade 2/3 summer school class with symptoms starting on 6/15, student does not ride a bus & was not present after 6/15. Please keep an eye out for S/S of COVID.
